When Colonel Ohman arrived at Taegu, he ran into a reporter who was securing data reference this matter. Further, Colonel Brothers reported that Charlotte Knight had interested herself in this subject and intended riding an air evacuation ship from Korea to Japan and then she intended to ride a surface vessel evacuation ship.
Dec. 29, 1951 - Helicopter inhabitants rescued by U-Boat. A unique rescue operation was undertaken by the US U-Boat Colador in Korean waters. A helicopter with Charlotte Knight, the associate editor of Colliers magazine, went down over the sea and the editor along with the two pilots were stranded in the water. Four men from the U-Boat jumped into the water and rescued the victims just before things began to get dire.
