K-29 Sinanju Airdrome

The 606 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron to operate its radars beginning on 21 November until overran by the enemy. This occurred on 29 November when a short notice and lack of vehicles forced the 606 to destroy millions of dollars worth of radar equipment.

H-5 elements were based here from the 3d squadron, detachment F, of the Rescue Liaison Office in the Joint Operations center. During November of 1950 they rescued pilots as far north as Kanggye.
